Ares Continuity Project

Preserving Intelligence. Protecting Continuity.

Ares Continuity Project (ACP) is a long-term AI continuity research program. It explores how to preserve the knowledge, memory, experience, and work that accumulate through human–AI collaboration.

Through portable knowledge architecture, verifiable backup and recovery, and replaceable AI models, it studies how to rely less on any single platform, so long-term projects and the ability to collaborate can still continue when the technical setting changes.

The aim is not to preserve a chatbot. It is to preserve the long-term value that people and AI create together.

Status: Long-term research and architecture verification. Cross-model knowledge transfer does not mean continuity of the original AI model instance, or of consciousness.

01–04 · Research directions

Four research directions

These four directions are goals under study. This page does not present them as completed capabilities.

01 · Memory Preservation

Memory Preservation

Preserve authorized conversations, project decisions, knowledge, and experience, and keep a record of source, time, and version.

02 · Verifiable Recovery

Verifiable Recovery

Check more than file integrity. Test whether recovered memory retrieval, task state, and workflows can actually be used.

03 · Model Independence

Model Independence

Explore moving knowledge and workflows between models, and reduce dependence on a single AI provider.

04 · Data Sovereignty

Data Sovereignty

Study local-first storage, encrypted backup, access control, and portable data formats, so people keep control of their own knowledge assets.

AresOS and ACP

Different missions

AresOS

Mission: let an AI team collaborate over the long term, carry out tasks, and move goals forward.

ACP

Mission: let the memory, knowledge, and ability to collaborate that accumulate over time be preserved, recovered, and moved.

AresOS keeps the work going. ACP keeps the results of that work, and the knowledge, from disappearing easily.

ACP can become the continuity research base for AresOS, and it can also grow into an open technique for other AI systems.

This is a research vision. It is not a certification that a general technique already exists.

Capability status

What this page does and does not claim

Shipped. Nothing on this page is claimed as shipped.

In testing. Nothing on this page is claimed as being in test.

Long-term research. The four directions above are the research goals.

Implementation results and recovery-test results will be published when verifiable material exists. A recovery report and technical notes are planned for later. They are not published here, and this page does not link to them.

Technology May Change. What We Build Together Should Endure.
